Name: | Commander Vosca Shepard |
---|
Facial likeness: Kari Wührer
Protagonist from 'Mass Effect' with a ruthless/pragmatic personality, as opposed to pure renegade. Decisions were always more about military practicality. A solder who grew up on a colony which was attacked by slavers, who came to gain a reputation as someone famed for cold, calculating, but remarkably efficient results.
* Saved most of Zhu's Hope.
* Destroyed the rachni Queen, unwilling to take the risk of trusting its word.
* Grew relatively close to Ashley, due to sharing similar views. Liked Garrus, but felt he sometimes showed a little too much willingness to break the rules.
* Talked Wrex down from violence on Virmire, saved Kirrahe and chose to rescue Ashley (because new of geth getting close enough to potentially damage/destroy the nuclear weapon was an obvious priority).
* Kept the Alliance fleet back to focus on Soverign, sacrificing the Citadel Council for practicality's sake.
* Anderson was suggested to be Earth's representative, since she favoured someone who understood military needs (and Udina had proven himself too scheming and unreliable).
* Held a massive distrust for working with Cerberus, if only because of detesting all criminal/terrorist elements (and would have preferred a way to convince Ashley better, but it was... Spur of the moment).
* Was tempted to help Zaeed all the way, but ultimately rescued the workers he would have ignored and used persuasion to force him to see reason and gain his loyalty.
* Largely appreciated Miranda for her dedication to efficiency, but privately didn't understand why the woman hung around Cerberus. Shared Jacob's frustration about the Alliance having too much in the way of unnecessary regulations and red tape, however.
* Gained everyone's loyalties, due to wanting everyone at their absolute best for the eventual mission - in which everyone survived.
* Secretly felt that Admiral Xen had some relatively good ideas, considering the futile alternatives.
* Had no problem with using AI, but like Xen, herself, felt it didn't equate to being 'alive' (one can acknowledge the similarities between organic and synthetic 'machines', without thinking they're the one and the same).
* Found Legion intriguing, but didn't dare trust it with anything too important, just in case it was either lying or was hacked by opposing Reaper technology. Decided to destroy the 'heretics', judging it better to be safe than sorry.
* Saved the partial genophage cure data, just in case.
* Saved a copy of the data which could have incriminated Cerberus, as an insurance policy.
* Helped Liara to become the Shadow Broker, liking the idea of having access to vastly improved intelligence.
* Attempted to alert the batarians about the incoming asteroid, out of a sense of duty.
* Diplomatically warned Mordin in private about the genophage cure sabotage (although, was undecided until Wrex and Eve demonstrated apparent solid commitment to veer away from a campaign of potential future retribution).
* While sympathetic to the version of history Legion showed, was unwilling to 100% believe it as necessarily true or accurate, for obvious reasons. Was unconvinced that the Reaper modifications to geth code meant true 'life' and intelligence, instead of just another radical technological advancement, but kept that to herself. Did feel sad at Legion's departure, however.
* Save Sarmara from suicide.
* Convinced the quarians and geth to co-operate, gaining both fleets.
* Chose to destroy the Reapers.
